Spring and Summer are not the only time for flowers. I pretty much have something that will bloom all throughout the year, inclucing fall. Here are a few of the blooms from the garden from this past weekend.
The wild asters were full of bumble bees and honey bees.
These red hot pokers were blooming out front. I will admit, this is not the usual time of year for them to bloom.
I just love my anemones. They are so delicate and this year they were a little bit darker pink than normal. Usually they are a very pale lavender.
I am not sure what kind of bee was on the snakeroot, but it was pollinating just the same.
Pineapple sage is one of Keith’s favorites. They are such a brilliant red and the hummers that are still around love them.
Of course, the hydrangea blooms have been around all summer, but in the fall, they take on a deep red tinge as they dry and they are just stunning.
And this year my pink camelias are just loaded. They are blooming a little earlier than usual, but they are gorgeous! Hope they last through Thanksgiving and Christmas!
