This past weekend we had a really nice weather day – one that was warm enough to be outside without freezing and overcast just enough to take some pictures of some of the many, many jewelry pieces I have made that I have needed to get listed in my shop. I have hundreds of pieces, but most don’t have shop ready pictures, so I needed to take advantage of a good weather day, since pictures taken outside with natural lighting tend to showcase the pieces best.
This long asymmetrical necklace has been listed before, but I recently reworked the way the vintage filigree brooch was attached. I have worn this one quite a bit and always get lots of compliments when I have it on.
I changed the configuration so that it lays flatter and does not flip over. Although, even the flipside of the fancy filigree is beautiful. I love taking old costume jewelry and repurposing it so that it can have a new life and come out of the box again.
This is one of my favorite necklaces. The pendant is a vintage Exquisite brand brooch with a large topaz rhinestone in the center of the Celtic design.
This was also one that I restrung so that it would lay flat. And, they way it is made, you can take the Citrine chain off and wear the pin alone if you wish.
I made this necklace quite some time ago, I just never got around to photographing it until this weekend. It is made with chunky, natural faceted Amazonite, round Amazonite and Tiger Eye beads and pewter bead caps and silver plated connectors. The connectors help make it lighter in weight and I love the light turquoise color of the Amazonite paired with the brown Tiger Eye. There are also matching earrings for this necklace.
Speaking of Tiger Eye, here is another necklace made with several different kinds of Tiger Eye beads, Citrine nuggets and lots of filigree brass bead caps. It is one that is adjustable so it can be longer if you like and it has a dangle in the back.
The Tiger Eye teardrop pendant is so pretty with the large faceted nuggets and smaller Citrine nugets. It also has matching earrings.
Here is another necklace with lots of Citrine, which happens to be the November Birthstone. It’s funny, but years ago it was Topaz. Not sure when and why it changed, but regardless, it is a beautiful stone.
The pendant for this necklace is a large agate geode slice that features a nice druzy section in the center. There are matching earrings for this one too! This one really sparkles in the light with all the tiny little crystals inside.
This last necklace is made with chunky, natural, rough faceted Rhodonite and Tibetan Silver spacers. The individual spacers add movement as you wear the necklace and the pink, gray and black colors are actually very neutral and will go with lots of different outfits. This one is on the heavier side, but it is another one that I always get compliments on when I wear it.
So glad that I was able to get some good pictures taken. I still have so much more that I need to tackle, and of course, I have a lot more pieces that I want to make. You can see all my pieces for sale in my Etsy Shop or just click on the Jewelry link above.
