Last weekend I went on a binge and made 5 different sets of jewelry. I hadn’t made much lately and had some really neat pendants that I wanted to put into necklaces. One of them was this awesome Druzy Agate.
The necklace is a long one and the Druzy adds a nice drop.
I also had these beautiful faceted Dark Smokey Quartz tube / oval and roundel beads. I paired the roundels with some Cracked Agate round beads that I had leftover from some earlier designs.
And I added pewter bead caps and oval connectors. This really was a fun necklace to make.
I took a little extra time on this one by attaching the beads in sections with wire instead of stringing all the beads together. It lets the necklace hang differently than strung beads. There is a little more movement between the connected sections of beads.
It has a silverplate Toggle Clasp.
And I really love that Druzy. All those little crystals sparkle in the sunlight.
And I made some earrings to go with the necklace. These feature light Smokey Quartz oval beads with the faceted dark Smokey Quartz roundels. All of the Smokey Quartz beads were purchased at a bead show with my Mom a couple of years ago and I am just now putting them to use. I just needed that Druzy to get me motivated, I guess!
Together they make a lovely set that can be worn just as easily with jeans as it can be for a night out on the town. You can find them both for sale in my Etsy shop.
Hopefully I can get the other four sets listed soon so you can see what else I created last weekend.
