Good Morning and welcome to Day 17 of 25 Days of Christmas Wreaths from Colonial Williamsburg‘s 2015 Holiday Season. Today I am sharing a just one image, but with multiple possibilities for decorating your front door!
This is the door of the Palmer House and they used magnolia leaves and boxwood or some other type of evergreen shrub to make these beautiful square wreaths. They are simply hung with jute and the transom window above the door uses the same base of greenery with apples and winterberries added for a splash of color. Simple but elegant and I really like the square wreaths. They really make a statement, don’t you think? I really love how creatively the buildings in Colonial Williamsburg are decorated each year. There really are none that are alike. And click here to read more about why apples are used in the decor at the Palmer House every year.
Stop by tomorrow for another wreath and more ideas on ways to decorate your home for Christmas!
