Good Morning and Happy Saturday! Have you been checking back each day this month while I share my Favorite Holiday Recipes here on the blog? Today I am sharing probably my all time favorite!
Remember, you can print these out as 4″ by 6″ images and put them in a photo album to create a little Recipe Book to give away or keep for yourself! Just click on the image to go to the full size .png file.
Today’s Recipe Card is for French Sugar Cookies. This recipe is a family favorite and it’s all thanks to my sister’s middle school French class! I have no idea if these really are French in origin, we just call them that because my sister had to make food for a project for her French class and was given this recipe to make and bring.
And let me tell you, this recipe is wonderful for making cookies with decorative cookie cutters because the dough does not lose it’s shape when baking – the lines remain crisp. You can also vary the flavorings – you can use 2 tsp. Vanilla or 2 tsp. Almond or just make as listed. We like 2 tsp. Almond. We decorate with colored sugar. My Mom sometimes will frost hers. Happy Baking!
