On Sunday I shared a picture that Keith took during Winter Storm Toby of our lovely purple hyacinths and promised I would share more of his photos with you this week. So, sit back and enjoy. Today’s post is photo heavy because I was so tickled with the pictures he took on his “Snow Day.” I hope he takes more pictures on his days off – he really has a good eye. Even though it is now Spring, I hope you enjoy our snow covered Winter in Spring garden!
Whenever it snows, we both love to photograph the Celtic Cross that Keith made.
It just always looks so pretty in the snow.
It was such a heavy, wet snow.
Keith captured the bird feeders in the yard.
And the butterfly house.
We had been wiped out by our feathered friends and had forgotten to fill the bird seed. Luckily the suet cake feeders were full.
I love the little “hat” on this feeder.
All of the shrubs and trees were just so loaded down under the weight of the snow.
You could barely see this bench under the camellias.
The forsythias had been blooming for a while and the bright yellow flowers were peeking out.
The yellow blooms stood out against the white snow.
Our red camellias out front were also in bloom. And they really stood out with the dark green leaves and red flowers.
Very festive!
And as I showed you Sunday, our hyacinths were covered with snow.
And they were still fragrant!
The snow made our “Yard Art” pieces come to life.
Which way to Spring?
These kitties were covered in snow!
While our Three Little Kittens were warm inside!
This was the only sun shining that day!
Mother Nature was confused and didn’t realize it was Spring. But that old groundhog must have known what he was talking about at the beginning of February.
Hearts were even frozen!
The squirrel feeder was full of snow, too! There were not any critters out in the snow.
The only one out was Keith and the falling snow.
The fences were beautiful covered in snow.
And so were the birdhouses!
Keith’s wind chimes added color to the white palette.
I hope you enjoyed Keith’s photos of our Winter in Spring! It’s not often that things line up perfectly and happen so that you can capture the moment the way he did. And I sure am glad that he ventured out with the camera so I could enjoy the snow in our garden.
But, I can also tell you, we both are really ready for Spring to come and stay! How about you?
