My Sleepyheads are back! Every summer when the Phlox start blooming our Carpenter Bees use them as beds at night. They will sleep nestled in the flowers and wake up as the day starts to warm up. It’s fun to go out early in the morning and see them sleeping so peacefully, tired from a long day of pollinating the flowers. Oh, and if you look closely, on the lower left you will see the extended legs of a little spider. That’s another insect that likes to hide in the flowers, but for a different reason.
