This week we had a quick little winter storm blow by. It lightly snowed one afternoon and then the next morning, there was a light coating of ice and snow on the branches of the trees and shrubs everywhere. I am always fascinated about how ice forms around and on branches of trees and other plants in the yard. This time the ice just formed on the tops and did not completely encase everything, which is what we normally see when we get ice during a winter storm. Luckily it went away as quickly as it came and only stuck to things above ground.
