I sold this one today. This is from my favorite rose bush in our yard. Mrs. Rutherford planted it when she lived here. I don’t know what kind it is or how old it is, but it produces the most beautiful and fragrant blooms each spring. And it comes back a couple of times throughout the rest of the season with some pruning.
Every year I take tons of pictures. Last year I took this picture and was thrilled at the texture of the petals that I was able to capture. Almost like skin, with the veining and wrinkles.
What a lovely memory of spring!
