Sometimes the weather forecasters miss…just a little. What was supposed to be a half inch or so of snow or a mix of snow, rain and sleet turned out to be about 3-4 inches of snow. Just two days ago I was taking pictures of these same flowers in the Springtime sun. You can barely see the pink hyacinths for the snow.
And the purple hyacinths out front are not faring much better under the snow of Virgil. They now are completely covered. It stopped snowing about 5 pm today and this was taken about 1 pm.
The daffodils are bowed down here, and right now, looking out the window I cannot see them at all. It’s spring, you know. Easter is a week away
And my camellias just started blooming this week. They sure do look beautiful covered in snow. The red and green make it look like it should be Christmas.
Thank goodness it all happened today on Sunday and Keith and I could stay home and enjoy it. We have been sitting by the fire with the cats, watching college softball on TV and having fun watching the birds at the feeders.
Did Virgil visit you this weekend? If so, stay warm and safe!

We just had 2″ of rain and some wind. Our plants are happy, but it was a very rainy weekend! We went to Brookgreen Gardens yesterday in the rain for their Spring guest speakers who spoke at a series of talks called, Diggin’ It!” The speakers were very interesting… one was about phtgy in the gardens and one was about how to draw wildlife, mainly birds, to your garden! I took a few rainy day photos of water drips on tree limbs, etc. Next wkend, will probably be the best one to shoot spring shots, maybe a little after that, too.
I love the black flowery frames you are using on these shots! Did you get those online?
Hope you have a wonderful week! Love, Mom

The snow was nice and unexpected. Lots of birds to watch. And it didn’t really stick to the roads so that was nice.
The frames are by Carina Gardner. If you click on her name above it takes you to the site where they can be purchased.
I was gonna use them on the flower pics I took while it was sunny but I liked how they looked with the snow.
Have a good week!
