Last Sunday my Dad had a cookout at his “beer joint.” His brothers and sisters came and of course, with Aunt Dot stirring the pot, things always get a little wacky.
My Dad recreated an old store and beer joint from where he grew up in one of his shop buildings and several times a year he has cookouts and get togethers there. He recently added a dime store pony to his collection and since it still worked, everyone there had to give it at try. Including my Aunt Dot, Dad’s youngest sister. I think she may have enjoyed it too much.
But then when my Uncle Jack got on, one of my Dad’s younger brothers, he started laughing so hard he almost lost his teeth. From what I hear, that’s usually easy for my Uncle Jack to do, he has lost them in a few places I think.
Anyway, we all had a fun time and it was fun watching them enjoy themselves on one of those kiddie rides from our childhood.
