Let me just say that being sick in the spring is not any fun. Especially when it is beautiful outside and when you are supposed to be taking vacation days to enjoy the beautiful outside or go somewhere in the beautiful outside.
My sinuses started acting up last Wednesday night and by Thursday morning I had the cough and sore throat. Luckily, my boss told me to go home, his wife had just gone through the same thing, so he knew what was coming. Leaving early, I came home and hopped in bed.
Friday morning, feeling not much better, I did get up and help Keith take our truck in to get it inspected. Sitting in the car with the heated seat on full blast, I realized I was not going anywhere else that day. So, back home to bed.
Between snoozes, I did watch some old movies and some softball. I love this time of year, when Keith and I can watch college softball games on TV. It’s just one of those sports we like to watch together. And this weekend, we had games every day.
Saturday morning, I was up again to help Keith go pick up the truck and again, the heated seats in the car were signalling that I needed to be back in bed. So, another day spent in bed. Sunday was a little better, I was able to get up some and even got to enjoy a little bit of outside, but still, come 5 O’Clock, I was ready for bed.
Today I actually went to the grocery store, even if it was only for cough syrup and cough drops, but I did go outside. It is warm, sunny and wonderful, yet I have this nagging, hacking, dry cough that is driving me crazy. Again, I am glad that I already had the weekend off in the schedule at work, because I know I would not be feeling any better.
So, with the windows open and the ceiling fans going, I did upload some pictures to FAA today and even played around a little on the clematis picture here. I still hate that I didn’t get anything accomplished this weekend, but there are times when you have to listen to your body, and this weekend mine was telling me to rest and take it easy.
