They say that March winds and April showers bring May flowers. Well, at least that was a little rhyme I remember learning when I was in elementary school. Today I want to share just a few shots of my May flowers.
Chives in my kitchen garden.
Frilly White Columbines
Dreamy Lavender Columbine
Dark Violet Columbines
Clematis
Jack in the Pulpit
Burgandy Trillium
We have lots of shade and woodland plants, and right now they are just amazing to behold. I seem to collect columbines and have many more blooming than what I am sharing here. I love how many different colors and styles that there are. I still want some of the native orange columbines that I have seen in Williamsburg and Monticello. They are next on my list to find.
What is blooming today in your yard?
