Last year I told you about our Brown Thrasher. Well, this year we had a nesting pair. Not sure where the nest was, but they have been a prominent fixture at our suet cake feeders. And I have been able to spot both of them at once. Until today, I had not really been able to get a picture. They are amazing to watch at the feeders through the windows but are extremly skiddish. While I was photographing George yesterday through the sitting room window I was able to catch Mr. Thrasher under the hydrangea bushes. They really are a beautiful bird and I love their bright yellow eyes.
Even Mr. Robin agrees. He was sitting above on the Celtic Cross watching Mr. Thrasher under the hydrangeas.
