The Drunken Pig Fitness Pub

I have to tell you about the Drunken Pig Fitness Pub, the brainchild of Keith.

When we moved to our current house, the former owner, Mrs. Rutherford, left us the best old ‘fridge in the basement. It quickly became the cooler for all our drinks, especially those of the alcoholic nature, because of it’s ability to keep things refreshingly cold.

The ‘fridge is in the unfinished section of the basement where Keith has his workbenches and weight lifting equipment. Somehow one day he coined the phrase Drunken Pig Fitness Pub for that area of the basement. Soon, he had a co worker create a design for T-Shirts with a fat pig lifting barbells and steins.

Several years later, I happened upon this vintage graphic from an antique post card and created this logo. You can purchase items with this logo printed on it on our shop on CafePress. I have a T-Shirt that I love and wear it frequently. This logo is our most popular seller on CafePress.

Now we are always on the lookout for new “Drunken Pig” designs. I have uploaded a second design, version 2.0, and I have a couple more in the works. I think the designs are fun and humorous. I love the vintage postcards that we see with the drinking swine on them. I hope that we can find more soon. So far, the colors and artwork have been easy to work with.

And I am pleased with everything I have ever ordered through CafePress. They do a good job and the products they print on have been good quality. I use them to print our Christmas Cards every year. Keith will find an image he wants to use and I will edit it to fit on a card and then Keith and I will hand glitter them all before sending out. We still believe in sending old fashioned cards for Christmas. Wonder what the image will be this year?
