Something that amazes me to this day is the internet and how dependent I have become on it. I can remember years ago before we had a computer going to our friends house and using dial up because Country Living had just launched a website and my friend Roxane and I could not wait to see what they were putting online. Of course it took minutes for each page to load and we were so thrilled when we finally were able to see the content. Now we take it for granted with our high speed connections and lightening fast page loads.
I cannot imagine life without the internet now. Everything I do seems to be connected to the internet: work, home, entertainment, communication, education….all of these areas of my life involve the internet in some way. At work I can communicate with others in my company across the country and across the world. Keith and I use the internet constantly at home for entertainment, shopping, finding new recipes and so much more. We communicate with our family all across the country and share our lives digitally with each other. And I am constantly learning from others that share their knowledge through tutorials, blogs, online classes, etc. There is such and abundance of information out there it can be mind boggling at times. But, it definitely is something that I am grateful for. I am so thankful to live in this day and age.
