I love taking pictures. And the digital age has allowed so many to now document their life experiences in an instant. And just as quickly we can share those images with friends, family and the world. I am so thankful to be living in this time where this is possible. I don’t know if I would have enjoyed photography as much.
I took a darkroom and photography class in high school, but I remember how impatient I was waiting on the film to develop. And I remember lots of times getting pictures back from the developer only to find that they did not turn out.
Now I can instantly see if I captured a decent image and I think that cameras today, including those in our phones make it easier than ever to take good pictures that share stories and preserve memories. And I am always amazed at the fact that people buy my photos. And it’s not just friends and family, it’s strangers from all over the world. Living in the digital age allows me to upload a digital file of my image and have it printed to the customers specifications so that they can purchase a copy of my image to hang on their wall. Mind blowing!
The digital age is truly amazing and I am so grateful to be a part of it.
