I am grateful for rainy days. Now I am not talking about downpour, blowing sideways stormy, hurricane and gale force wind rainy days, but just slow, laid back easy going soft rainy days. We had one this weekend and it was nice to relax and take it easy while the ground soaked up some much needed moisture.
No matter what season they arrive in, these kind of rainy days allow me to slow down and take a breath. Most times days off are spent running errands and doing chores, so when a day like this comes around Keith and I will take a cue from Mother Nature and put off some things and just enjoy time inside reading, crafting or watching a movie.
And if you pay attention, the rest of the world seems to melt away as you watch birds play in the puddles and count the dew drops as they fall off the branches. We all need to rejuvenate and rainy days can do that for us. I always appreciate a good rainy day.
