Have you ever noticed how the happy laughter of children can instantly change your mood? How just hearing the infectious giggle from a child can make you laugh too? I am so grateful for that innocent and free flowing laughter that children possess. It can do so much for your well being. Many times you find yourself remembering how to freely laugh without worry when you spend time laughing with children.
We have friends that have three little girls. The twins are four and their younger sister is two. Spending time with them usually wears us out (we don’t have children and they have so much more energy than us) but it is worth it. We feel renewed after being around them because they make us laugh at things we have forgotten to laugh at as we grew older. I believe children are here to remind us not to take life too seriously all the time. Take time to laugh a little and watch the stress quickly leave. I feel sorry for people that choose not to surround themselves with children when they can. They forget to how to laugh and be happy the way a child can. I am so grateful for that gift, the gift of laughter from a child.
