Great Gigs – I had to go back to Carrie’s list on this one to figure out what type of gigs she was referring to in her list. Concerts, those are the gigs she is listing, so here are mine.
- The first concert I remember seeing was Styx with my cousin Laurinda – it was their Paradise Theater tour and we loved it
- We even saw Styx a second time on their Kilroy Was Here tour – enjoyed that one, too
- John Denver – I won tickets and went with my friend Andrea, he was a great entertainer, sad that he is no longer with us
- Van Halen – we saw them during their 1984 tour and Huey Lewis and the News opened for them, wow, that was a fun concert
- Rod Stewart – saw him perform in Vegas at the MGM, oh that was a great show
- Elton John – an awesome show and performer
- REM – saw with my friend Roxanne
- Celtic Women – I have seen them multiple times with my brother Steve and his wife Tonya – they are by far my favorite – their performances are amazing
That’s it. I am not much of a concert person. Not a fan of the crowds anymore. Would rather watch a concert at home in the comfort of my home now. The food and bathrooms are much better! =)

And here is an update! I totally forgot two other concerts that I saw, and both were very good!
- Keith and I went to see Ricky Scaggs with his cousin and her husband in Wheeling, WV at the Capitol Theatre. It was a neat experience. The best part was that Alison Krauss and Union Station opened for him. This was when they were still starting out and they were wonderful
- And in 2000 I saw Kenny Chesney open for Jo Dee Messina. She was okay, but he really put on a show. It was a free concert that I attended through my job and thanks to his opening act, it was a good gig.
