Earlier this month we went to Colonial Williamsburg to watch their Grand Illumination. One of the days turned out to be a rainy day, so we stayed indoors shopping at the outlet malls and a few antique shops. I love going shopping during the holidays, even if I don’t find anything (which this trip we did) because even if I don’t find anything I usually come home with great ideas for decorating. And holidays are wonderful, because you can get a lot of cute ideas just by browsing through shops. I snapped a few pictures with my phone of some really clever ideas using Vintage Treasures that we found in one of the antique shops we visited.

I even made this collage using my Project Life App. It was super easy and quick to create. Aren’t cell phones today the most awesome thing? But, back to the cure decorations. I love these pastel ornaments under a cloche on a milk glass dish.

Now this arrangement sits a top a china plate attached to the base of a glass goblet. I love the bottle brush trees and old car ornament.

This vintage Santa and Bottle Brush Tree under a cloche is on a gilded plate affixed to an old crystal candlestick. I am thinking I really need to get some cloches.

I love this old Ball jar with it’s cute little wagon full of gifts! And check out the little shovel with the bottle brush tree on the left!

Here’s another cloche filled with a vintage Putz House and tree on top of another repurposed plate and candle holder.

The cloche below with the candle and vintage tinsel is resting in a bowl on top of a candlestick. I love how this is done.

This tree has a wonderful garland of old, creamy colored buttons.

And look at this flocked Christmas Tree loaded with vintage cups and saucers. I never would have thought to do this and it looks adorable.

And here is another repurposed dish and candlestick, turned into a cake plate base for this sweet little Santa and his bottle brush tree with a sled full of presents.

I wish I could take credit for these cute little vignettes. The person that ran this booth had some wonderful things going on and I am glad I snapped pictures so that I can create some cute décor using vintage finds and treasures I have around my house.
