If you are not on Pinterest you need to consider joining. I love all of the useful information and inspiration that I find there and today it paid off!
Anyone that knows me knows that I hate to clean and that I would spend the day crafting or shopping or anything but cleaning even if my life depended on it. Well somewhere on Pinterest I found this tip for cleaning ceiling fans. And guess what? It is AWESOME!
You take an old pillowcase, saturate it in your cleaner of choice (today I used 409) and slip over the ceiling fan blade and then squeeze the blade while pulling the pillowcase off. Oh my goodness. Why didn’t anyone ever tell me about this before?
I have allergies and cleaning ceiling fans usually messes me up for the rest of the day. Not today. All of the dust stays inside the pillowcase which means it doesn’t fall to whatever is below ( like that clean table or your bed.) All you do is turn the pillowcase inside out when you are finished cleaning and throw in the washing machine.
It took me 15 minutes to clean 5 fans upstairs and 2 fans downstairs this morning and my nose is not running off my face. Pinterest saved my day!
I checked on Pinterest and could not find where I pinned it so I took a quick picture with my phone and will post this to my cleaning tips board. To the pinners that originally shared this tip I am forever grateful. You have helped me today more than you will ever know.
