The leaves on our friend Bill’s sugar maple tree started falling this week. I remember a time that his wife Betty and I sat on the hill examining all the pretty colors of the leaves while we watched Keith and Bill work on some pruning chores together. Bill and Betty were such wonderful neighbors that became more than friends, they became our family. I miss them both so much but I am glad that I have these wonderful memories that I see every Fall when the leaves fall all around. He planted these trees from his parents farm in West Virginia and we are so glad he did so that we can now enjoy them in the Fall.
