Yesterday I shared a video of the pumpkin that I carved at my friend June’s Pumpkin Carving Party. I have shared about her parties before here and here. We always have such a good time at her parties and this year was no different.

And thanks to my Project Life App on my iPhone, I have already put together my scrapbook pages of the event. I simply picked a few templates and inserted my pictures, along with a few cards from the Halloween Theme pack and I even included several of my 31 Days of Halloween Digital Goodies cards. Those digital goodies really are perfect for Project Life pages.

I took quite a few pictures using my phone, so all I had to do when I was ready to create my pages was a little editing (I used PicTapGo) and then I popped them into the prebuilt templates in the Project Life App (there are quite a few to choose from) and once my pictures were set, I added a few of the Halloween cards from the app and a few of my own.

In the Project Life App you can add text on certain cards only – they are labeled journaling cards or title cards, I think. But sometimes I want to add text to other cards, called filler cards and you cannot do that in the app. And, the app only has a handful of font types and I am a fontaholic, so I need a little more to choose from in that department. So, I went ahead and saved all my pages and then opened them in another app that I use all the time called Phonto.

Phonto allows you to add text to photos and they have tons of cool fonts and you can even import fonts you have in your own collection to use. So, I added all of my journaling text and some other text to some of the Halloween Theme filler cards. Bam. Done. Four scrapbook pages that perfectly document the Pumpkin Carving Party, completed in a flash using apps on my iPhone. Isn’t technology amazing?
We had an awesome time carving our pumpkins and playing with the girls. And now I have my awesome scrapbook pages done and it’s not even Halloween yet. Wish everything else was as easy as this!
