Yes, baby, it’s cold outside and Pixie and I are enjoying a warm day by the woodstove inside! Last year we got a little woodstove insert for our upstairs fireplace and we were not able to use it too often because it was not really cold enough to have a fire. Which kind of was a bummer, since we really loved it when we used it.
Well, this winter has been much colder; this morning it was 14 when Keith went to walk, and it has been in the 30’s today. I like having some cold, cold weather; it kills off some of the stink bugs and I think it helps my spring bulbs bloom better. Or maybe I just appreciate them more after the cold.
Yes, Pixie and I are very happy right now. She is laying on the rug in front of the stove, just as warm as she can be. I am sitting at the table working on pictures and watching the birds at the feeders. And it is snowing. Nothing is sticking to anything, but it is coming down like the dickens. Makes me all the more happy to be in by the fire, loving the warmth amd enjoying the winter weather outside.
