It’s been a while since I have posted and it’s not because I didn’t want to….I came down with bronchitis and it has knocked me for a loop. I still don’t feel great, but I am getting through this one day at a time. Anyway, that’s not what I want to post about. I am really excited that I have been able to keep up with my One Little Word challenge this year and take advantage of Opportunities, even if it was being sick for a week.
I now have finished another month of taking a photo a day and posting to Instagram as part of my own Project Life 365 Challenge. Last month I shared a Flipagram of my January images. Here is another view of my January images.
I made these with two apps on my iPhone and iPad. The first one is Collect Photo App.
This app lets you create calendar albums of pictures. You simply open the app, click on the day of the month and add your image, description, tags and details. It will also send you a reminder every day to make sure that you “collect” your daily photo. I like that feature, although now that I am two months in to this and have been able to capture an image every day, even while sick, I don’t necessarily need it any more.
Once you fill up your calendar album, you can then export a couple of different ways, one of which is the collage above. And when exporting the collage, Collect works with other apps, such as Letterglow, to allow you to add text or other cool items to your collage.
Here is my February collage, created with Collect and Letterglow.
I really like the collage option. This is a perfect way to remember a month at a glance. I am thinking that these will make an awesome mini scrapbook just by themselves at the end of the year. I cannot believe how technology has made documenting our lives easier than ever. I am so happy that I am working on this challenge. I take tons of pictures every year. Thousands of pictures. This simple little Opportunity has made me focus on what is happening every day in my life, not just the events. I love looking back at what happened on each day on my Collect Calendars. Because I have documented the story behind the picture I also remember what I felt, why I took the picture and what was going on in my real life that day. Even if it was nothing, it was something to me.
What apps do you use to document your life?
