It has been a wile since I posted any new jewelry pieces. I have made a few recently and I have been enjoying wearing them and thought I would share some this week with you.

One of my favorites ways to create necklaces is to repurpose vintage costume jewelry brooches as pendants. And Keith can find some really pretty ones for me, like this filigree rhinestone brooch.

When he found this I knew it would make a really special piece. And I waited about two years before I finally made it into a necklace.

I added Czech glass and Swarovski crystals, Vintaj connectors and brass chain. And a lovely little champagne teardrop to dangle from the brooch.

But the brooch is what really sets this statement necklace apart from anything else that I could have come up with. It truly is a one of a kind piece. Keith really got lucky when he found it. It has dark topaz and pale champagne rhinestones and is one of those that I usually see in a shop and cannot afford. He has a really good eye!

And it has a brass lobster claw clasp.

I also made some earrings using the champagne teardrop crystals.

I don’t think I will be listing this one for sale any time soon. I am really enjoying wearing it right now. It is wonderful for dressier occasions and I have even paired it with a peach shirt and jeans and received compliments on it. Yup, I will hang on to this one for a bit.
